The original light novel series inspired two separate manga adaptations. The first, illustrated by Sutarō Hanao, was serialized in Monthly Dragon Age from 2012 to 2014. The second, illustrated by Yohei Yasumura, began serialization in Monthly Comic Alive in 2015 and was later published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment as a complete omnibus edition. A twelve-episode anime television series produced by Silver Link aired from October to December 2015, and Yanagimi received credit among the writing staff for the adaptation. His work has been published internationally, with several of his series receiving English and Chinese translations. Yanagimi has expressed that his dream is to live a life where he can finish his work and then leisurely watch movies.
