One of his notable roles is King Nikochan in the second television series of Dr. Slump, a comedy franchise based on the manga by Akira Toriyama. He also provided the voice for Sanson in the series Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, the 1990 adventure anime directed by Hideaki Anno. Beyond these roles, Gwon Hyeoksu voiced Minoru Higashiyama in the series Bartender, a role in the Monster anime as a character credited only as Dr., and the characters Billy and Hamilton in Kaleido Star.
