Bernard Perpete

Description
Bernard Perpète was a Belgian voice actor and television presenter born on August 14, 1961, in Charleroi, Belgium, who passed away on September 18, 2006, at the age of 45. While he was a well-known television personality in his home country, he also built a career in voice acting, particularly in the field of dubbing for French-language audiences.

In the early 1990s, Perpète co-founded the dubbing studio Made in Europe with Sylvain Goldberg, establishing a base for his voice work in Belgium. One of his most recognized roles in anime was providing the French voice for the character Wolfgang Krauser in the 1993 anime television special Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle. This special, based on the SNK video game, features the character as a powerful German nobleman and the half-brother of the antagonist Geese Howard.

Beyond this prominent anime role, his other voice acting credits included roles in various animated series. He lent his voice to the character Mr. Abadone in Bobo et ses Amis, Newton in Ned et son Triton, Lucius in Oscar's Orchestra, and a role in the animated series Spawn.

His career as a voice actor intersected with his broader work in entertainment. He was primarily known as a presenter for Belgian television networks such as RTBF and RTL-TVI, hosting programs like Double 7 and Bon week-end. He also pursued a career in theater and live-action acting. The 1994 voice actors strike provided him the opportunity to dub actor Brad Pitt in the French version of the film Legends of the Fall, marking a significant achievement in his dubbing career.
