Germano Basile
Description
Germano Basile was an Italian voice actor born on December 5, 1955 in Naples, Italy. He passed away on July 20, 2018. His career began in theatre, where he performed in numerous stage productions before expanding into writing, directing, and teaching. He founded the Teatro Studiouno in Rome in 1996 and served as its director until 2008, and he also created the COM-X comedy event. From the 1990s onward, he worked as an instructor in acting, diction, theatre directing, and dubbing techniques. Beyond performing, Basile worked as a dubbing director for several television series, cartoons, and films, including six seasons of the live-action sitcom Frasier and the animated series Ben 10.
In the field of anime and animated series, Basile provided Italian voices for a range of characters. He is known to fans of the Dragon Ball franchise for voicing Sansho in the first Italian edition of the movie Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone, as well as Kishime in Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest and Ebifrien in Dragon Ball Z. Another prominent anime role was Kanzo Mogi in the television series Death Note. He also voiced Kaiho in Giant Robo and Hyoki in Shuten Doji.
