Jill Frappier

Jill Frappier is a British-Canadian voice actress known for her extensive work in animated series, anime dubs, and stage productions. Born in Romsey, England, she moved to Canada in 1967 and has been active in the entertainment industry since 1969. Her career spans voice work for animation and anime, as well as numerous on-camera television and film appearances.

Frappier is perhaps most widely recognized for providing the English voice of Luna, the mentor cat to the Sailor Guardians, in the DiC, Cloverway, and Optimum Productions dubs of the Sailor Moon anime series. Her portrayal of Luna extended to the English dubbed versions of the associated feature films, including Sailor Moon R: The Promise of the Rose, Sailor Moon S: Hearts in Ice, and Sailor Moon SuperS: The Black Dream Hole. In addition to Luna, she voiced other characters in the Sailor Moon franchise, such as Queen Beryl in a single episode and the monster of the day characters Kigurumiko and Elephanko.

Beyond Sailor Moon, Frappier is known for her work on various Sanrio character productions. She voiced the title character, Keroppi, in the English dub of Keroppi and Friends as well as in Kero Kero Keroppi no Christmas Eve no Okurimono. She also played the role of the narrator and the character Fifi in the English dub of the Hello Kitty series.

Her other notable voice roles in animation include Doucette in Anatole, Mrs. Prysselius in Pippi Longstocking, Aunty in Pecola, Miss Finch in Birdz, Little Mo in The Animal Shelf, and additional voices in numerous other productions such as Franklin, Jane and the Dragon, and The Busy World of Richard Scarry. Her live-action television credits include appearances on Murdoch Mysteries, Schitt's Creek, Kim's Convenience, The Strain, and Hudson & Rex.

Frappier has a strong background in live theatre, having performed at the Stratford and Shaw Festivals and on stages across Canada for over five decades. She also ran a drama school for young people called Dragontrails Drama in Toronto for twenty years and has written several plays for children.
