Moichi Saitō

Moichi Saitō is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on September 19, 1961, in Tokyo, Japan. He began actively working as a voice actor in 1986. His artistic career, which includes both voice acting and narration, has spanned more than four decades.
Saitō studied dialogue and acting under Norio Deguchi, the organizer of Japan's only Shakespeare theatre where all of the playwright's works are performed. He also studied narration and voice-over techniques specializing in broadcasting at the Japan Actors' Co‑operative and Haikyo. Additionally, he completed special lectures focusing on narration at Sigma Seven, a Japanese agency known for specializing in narration, learning from instructors including Daisuke Maki, Hiroshi Takeda, Hitoshi Kubota, and Issei Masamune.
In anime, Saitō is known for the role of Masayoshi Yamazaki in the 1998 to 1999 television series Devilman Lady. He also voiced Kouichi Sasaki in Kaikan Phrase, which aired from 1999 to 2000. In 2004, he played the role of Kazuki Oogami in the series Destiny of the Shrine Maiden, also known as Kannazuki no Miko. Earlier in his career, he performed voice roles in live-action franchise entries, including voicing Racer Boma and Akaoni in individual episodes of the 1989 Super Sentai series Esquadrão Alta Velocidade Turboranger.
Beyond his work in anime, Saitō has an extensive career as a narrator. His voice has been broadcast on television and radio in Japan for over thirty‑five years. He has narrated more than seven thousand Japanese corporate video packages. He has also recorded audio guides for numerous major museums in Japan, including the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Western Art, the National Museum of Nature and Science, the National Art Center Tokyo, SUNTORY MUSEUM of ART, Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art, POLA MUSEUM OF ART, THE HAKONE OPEN‑AIR MUSEUM, and MOA Museum of ART, among others. His narration work includes guides for permanent collections and special exhibitions, and he holds the distinction of having recorded the largest number of guided tours in Japan for these institutions.
