Ty Olsson is a Canadian actor born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who has built an extensive career in both live-action and voice performance. His work in anime, while a focused part of his larger filmography, includes several notable contributions to the English dub market, particularly within the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise.

Olsson began his voice acting career in anime with the English dub of the 1988 film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, where he provided the voice for Astonaige Medoz, the chief mechanic of the protagonist ship, the Ra Cailum. This role stands as his most prominent anime credit. He later contributed additional voices to the English dub of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing in 2000, further establishing his presence in the mecha genre.
