Michele Seidman

Description
Michele Seidman is an American actress known for her work in film, television, and animation, including providing the English dub voice for the character Fujiko Mine in the 1987 Lupin III original video animation The Fuma Conspiracy. Born on July 26, 1961, in Portsmouth, Virginia, her career as a performer has spanned several decades across various media. Her extensive experience includes roles in stage productions, television series such as Dawson's Creek and the soap opera Another Life, and films including Empire Records and The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.

While Seidman has voiced characters in animation, her role as the cunning and iconic Fujiko Mine in the English dub of The Fuma Conspiracy, produced by AnimEigo, stands as her most recognized credit in anime voice acting. In this 1987 original video animation, the regular voice cast was replaced due to budget concerns, and Seidman was cast as the English voice for the femme fatale, opposite a cast including Robin Robertson as Lupin III. This performance places her among a notable lineage of English voice actors for the character, which includes Edie Mirman, Michelle Ruff, and Cristina Vee.

Beyond her single major anime credit, Seidman has had a diverse career as a performer, acting coach, director, and producer. She has been the owner of an acting studio in North Carolina, the former Director of Film Studies for Cape Fear Community College, and a founding member of the Cape Fear Independent Film Festival. Seidman has also been active in the music industry as a blues singer, fronting the band Michele and the Midnight Blues and founding the organization National Women in Blues. Her work as a director and producer includes the short film A Dream on Fire, which was nominated for Best Local Film at the Cape Fear Independent Film Festival in 2013. While she has numerous credits across film and television, The Fuma Conspiracy remains her only documented role in anime voice acting.
