Suguru Kumabuchi

Suguru Kumabuchi is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor born on November 11, 1988, in Japan. His career in entertainment began in 1995, and he has also been active in stage productions since 2008.

Kumabuchi is best known for his single major anime voice role as Yūji Hitouji, a student from Shitenhōji Junior High, in the long running sports franchise The Prince of Tennis. He first voiced the character in the Original Video Animation (OVA) series covering the national tournament arc. He continued in the role for subsequent OVA releases, including The Prince of Tennis OVA: Another Story - Kako to Mirai no Message, which features the character, as well as its follow up, Another Story II: Ano Toki no Bokura. Kumabuchi also reprised the role of Yūji Hitouji for the television series The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup.

Beyond his anime voice work, Kumabuchi has performed as Hitouji in franchise related music and events. He recorded multiple character songs, including duets with voice actor Ryō Naitō, who plays Hitouji's doubles partner Konjiki Koharu. Notable singles include Teppan Song released in 2007 and Koi Mabataki - Koi, Mabataki released in 2012. He also participated in live concert events for the series, such as Tenipuri Festa in 2009, 2011, and 2013.

In addition to voice acting, Kumabuchi has pursued a parallel career in stage acting. One of his credited stage roles is in the production WILD ADAPTER. His other professional interests include basketball as a hobby.
