David Godfrey is a voice actor and composer with over thirty years of experience in animation, video games, and narration. His career began after he attended Fanshawe College's Recorded Music Production program, and upon early graduation, he worked at Manta Eastern recording studios where he was introduced to voice-over work. Beyond acting, he has also worked in voice direction, music composition, and sound design.

Godfrey is known for providing the voice of the lead character in the anime series Blackjack, also referred to as Black Jack. In animation, his other prominent roles include Mr. Shy in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Dad in Kate and Mim-Mim. His extensive voice work also extends to video games, with performances in titles such as Mythic Heroes, Bless Online, Grim Dawn, 9mm, BackStab, Beyond Divinity, and The Incredible Spider-Man.

In addition to character work, Godfrey has served as a narrator for several television programs, including Bush Wreck Rescue, Future Code, and The Funny Pit. He is also recognized for his twenty-three year tenure as the voice of HMV Canada.
