Siobhan Flynn

Description
Siobhan Flynn is a British actress known for her work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime, most notably during the early 2000s. While she has maintained a career across film, television, and voice acting, her contributions to anime have garnered a dedicated following among fans of the medium.

Flynn began acting as a child while growing up in Cardiff, Wales. At the age of seventeen, she trained for three years at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), where she was awarded the Lillian Bayliss Award, presented by Sir Ian McKellen. Upon completing her studies, she appeared in a variety of roles on major UK television channels before her work took her to the United States.

In the realm of anime, Flynn is best recognized for her role as Yumiko Takagi, commonly referred to as Yumie, in the English dub of the OVA series Hellsing Ultimate. The character is a devout Catholic nun and a formidable assassin for the Vatican's Section XIII. Flynn also voiced the character Laura in the original 2001 Hellsing television series, marking a recurring collaboration with the franchise.

Another significant anime role for Flynn was Wendy Earhart in the 2003 series R.O.D -The TV-. The series serves as a sequel to the earlier R.O.D -Read or Die- OVA, and Flynn's character is a key member of the British Library's special operations division. That same year, she voiced Claire Penny-Lane in the political thriller anime L/R: Licensed by Royalty, contributing to the show’s English dub cast.

Beyond these featured roles, Flynn's voice acting credits are concentrated within a specific era of North American anime licensing, primarily working on dubs produced for studios like Geneon Entertainment. Her on-screen acting career includes roles in major motion pictures such as Michael Bay’s The Island and the horror film FeardotCom, as well as guest appearances on American television series like Charmed. She is noted to speak five languages fluently, including French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
