Mugihito, also known by his stage name Mugihito Amachi, is a veteran Japanese voice actor and stage actor. He was born Makoto Terada on August 8, 1944, in Musashino, Tokyo. The name Mugihito is a stage name, and he was also formerly credited under his birth name as well as the variant Mugihito Amachi. He comes from a family of performers, as the son of kabuki actor Yoshizaburo Arashi V and the younger brother of voice actress Michie Terada. His career began in the 1960s, initially working as a stage and television actor before dedicating himself primarily to voice acting and narration from the 1980s onward.
Over his long and prolific career, Mugihito has portrayed a wide range of characters, often lending his distinctive voice to older authority figures, villains, and mentors.
