Alex Hood

Description
Alex Hood is a Canadian actor known primarily for his voice work in animated television series, particularly during the early 2000s. He was born on October 20, 1990, and graduated from Upper Canada College in 2007 before later earning a degree in Music Composition from Bard College.

Hood is best recognized as the English voice of the character Kenny in the long-running anime series Beyblade. He performed this role across multiple installments of the franchise, including the original Beyblade series, Beyblade: V-Force, and Beyblade G-Revolution. He also reprised the role for the animated film Beyblade: Fierce Battle. In this English dub of the franchise, his character, Kenny, serves as the technical expert and mechanic for the primary team of bladers known as the Bladebreakers. In interviews, Hood has stated that he found Kenny's personality to be similar to his own, describing the process of portraying the character as like "playing myself in real life". The natural change in Hoods voice due to puberty was noted as a reason for Kennys deeper voice in later seasons and the feature film.

Beyond his work in the Beyblade franchise, Hood has provided voices for several other animated productions. He voiced the character Alan "The Brain" Powers in multiple entries of the Arthur series, including the television movie Arthurs Perfect Christmas and the film Arthurs Missing Pal. He also performed the role of Tom in the childrens series Peep and the Big Wide World. In addition to his voice-over career, Hood has appeared in live-action television productions. His live-action credits include a recurring role as Ron Yuma on the series Naturally, Sadie, as well as appearances in Zixx: Level One, In a Heartbeat, and the television film The Man Who Saved Christmas. He also had a role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles.
