Matthew Barron, known professionally as Matthew Masaru Barron, is an American-born voice actor and narrator based in Japan. He was born on October 28, 1981, in Seattle, Washington, and stands 190cm tall. Barron is bilingual, the son of an American father and a Japanese mother, and he moved to Japan in the year 2000 to begin his entertainment career. His professional motto is to make the viewing and listening experience enjoyable, treating everything as entertainment. He is also known by the nickname Mr. Green, a reference to his personal color preference.

Barron has built a diverse career, working primarily as a narrator for educational programs, an event MC, a translator, and a lyric adviser for musicians, in addition to his voice-over work for anime and video games. He is known for his friendly personality and his ability to serve as a bridge between Japanese and English-language cultures.

In anime, one of his credited roles is Yankee in the 2004 series Mankatsu, an anthology work based on the creations of Monkey Punch. His other notable anime voice roles include Jerry Tyson in Kengan Ashura, the role of Star in the 2020 anime Chiikawa, and the Owner in Mayonaka Punch (also known as Midnight Punch). He has also provided voices for Under Ninja as Shimada, a system voice in Miss Kuroitsu from the Monster Development Department, and additional voices in Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood. Beyond television anime, he voiced Expert 1 in the series Apocalypse Hotel and a Game Voice Clerk in And You Thought There Is Never a Girl Online?.

Barron has also performed voice work for several video games. He is known for providing the English narration for the game Bombastic on the PlayStation 2 and for voicing Larry in Shenmue II. His more recent game credits include playing Richter Belmont in Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls and providing additional voices for the open-world game Wild Hearts.
