Yū Urata is a male Japanese voice actor born on September 16 in Osaka Prefecture. He has blood type A and is affiliated with the talent agency Accent. His professional voice acting career began in the year 2000.

One of his notable television anime roles includes Aghi in the series Fantastic Children. He also voiced Autor in the anime Princess Tutu. In the OVA HUNTER×HUNTER G・I Final, he played multiple roles including Wong Lee, Michiro, and Megane.

Beyond anime, Urata has contributed to numerous video games. He provided the voice for Albert in Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- and played Mokusa in the S.Y.K ~New Legend of the Journey to the West~ series of games. Other game credits include roles in Snowboard Kids, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Hitotsuya Monogatari, F.E.A.R., Bumpy Trot, The Legend of the Dark Witch: Lightning Strikes, and Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey.
