Kathleen Delaney

Description
Kathleen Delaney is an American voice actress, stage actress, dancer, and playwright known for her work on English-language dubs produced by 4Kids Entertainment. Her career spans several major anime franchises and video game series, with her most recognizable roles coming from the early to mid-2000s.

Delaney is particularly known as the voice of Rouge the Bat, a character she portrayed in the anime series Sonic X and in several Sonic the Hedgehog video games from 2005 until approximately 2010. Her performance as Rouge was noted for using an Angelina Jolie-inspired vocal quality to match the character's confident and flirtatious personality. In the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, she took over the role of Mai Valentine for the uncut DVD releases, having previously been voiced by Megan Hollingshead in the television broadcast version. She also provided the voice of Tania in the spin-off series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX before that role was assumed by another actress later in the series.

Beyond these signature roles, Delaney voiced multiple characters in the 4Kids dub of One Piece, including the pirate Alvida and Captain Hina. Her additional anime voice credits include Kanna Bismarch and Iron Maiden Jeanne in Shaman King, Patunia in Magical DoReMi, Jacqueline McMadd in Ultimate Muscle, and Tina Twingersnap in the animated series Viva Piñata. She also voiced Darcy in the 4Kids dub of Winx Club.

Throughout her voice acting career, Delaney worked extensively with 4Kids Entertainment, the dubbing company responsible for localizing numerous anime series for North American audiences in the 2000s. She maintained a steady presence in the industry's New York-based dubbing scene, and in later years, her roles in the Sonic game series were taken over by actress Karen Strassman.
