Sōichirō Tanaka is a Japanese voice actor born on December 23, 1964, in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the voice acting company Office Osawa. Tanaka is recognized for his work in anime and tokusatsu productions, with one of his most prominent roles being Sam Speed, the leader of the S Team, in the anime series Sonic X. He also voiced the character Takuan Sōhō (credited as Priest Takuan) in the series Musashi Gundoh.
Beyond these roles, Tanaka has built a diverse career with a range of other notable voice credits. His anime work includes roles in Rockman EXE, where he voiced Shuuseki Ijuin, CosmoMan, and FreezeMan, as well as Rave Master, where he voiced Belial, La Grace, and Tanchimo.
