Yoshiya Nemoto

Yoshiya Nemoto was a Japanese voice actor and actor born in Kanagawa Prefecture on January 9, 1926. He passed away on February 15, 2004, at the age of 78. Nemoto was the founder of the theatrical troupe Gekidan Kindai-za, an organization he led until his death, specializing in the performance of Shakespeare's plays. His career in the performing arts included both live-action drama and voice acting for anime and video games.
Nemoto's voice acting roles included Luche in the 1987 original video animation The Poem of Wind and Trees: Sanctus. In the anime series Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, he voiced the character Batoumon. He also provided the voice for Hi Ki Danzen in the series Galaxy Warring States Chronicle Rai. His work extended to video games, with a role as a cast member in the 1993 game Ultimate Ecology, as well as a role in the 1995 game Sword & Sorcery.
Beyond his animation and game work, Nemoto was active as a voice actor for foreign film dubbing; he provided the Japanese voice for the character Carlos, also known as Pirilpero, in the 1965 spaghetti western film A Fistful of Dollars.
