Description
Véronique Picciotto is a French actress and voice director who has worked extensively in dubbing for animation, television, and film. She trained as a performer at several workshops in Paris, including the Atelier International de Théâtre Blanche Salant, and studied voice and breathing techniques under Jean-Pierre Romond. She is also a voice director and has overseen the French dubs for productions such as the television series The Witcher and the video game Far Cry 4.
Picciotto is best known to anime audiences for her role as Casca in the film trilogy adaptating the Golden Age arc of Berserk. She voiced the character in all three installments: Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc II - The Battle for Doldrey, and Berserk: The Golden Age Arc III - The Advent.
Beyond anime, her voice work in animation includes several recurring roles in French dubs of American productions. She is notably one of the regular voices for the character Barbara Gordon, who appears as Batgirl and Oracle, in numerous DC Comics animated films. Her credits as Batgirl include Batman: The Killing Joke, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Lego DC Batman: Family Matters, and Batman: Silence. In television animation, she voiced Dexter's mother in Dexter's Laboratory and has had roles in American Dad! and The Spectacular Spider-Man.
