Sabine Manke
Description
Sabine Manke is a German voice actor, singer, and stage performer born on 15 February 1970 in Straußberg. She studied singing and dance in Berlin before beginning her entertainment career in the mid-1990s as a cast member on the German television series Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten and as a singer for the band Just Friends from 1995 to 1998. Her voice acting work spans numerous animated series and films, with particular focus on German-language dubbing of international productions. In Japanese anime, Manke is known for her role as Momon in the 2012 film Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess. She also voices Korama in the supernatural comedy series Invaders of the Rokujyōma!? from 2014. Beyond these anime credits, her extensive voice roles include GIR in Invader Zim and its film sequel Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, Snap in ChalkZone - Die Zauberkreide, Hamtaro in Hamtaro: Kleine Hamster, große Abenteuer, and Luna in Mittelland - Die Legende der Elfen. Manke has also contributed to numerous children's and family programs such as Tabaluga as Happy, Unten am Fluss as Hannah the mouse, My Little Pony as Sweetie Belle, and Barney und seine Freunde as the second voice of Baby Bop. Her recurring collaboration with the character GIR, originally performed by Rosearik Rikki Simons, appears in both the original Invader Zim series and its later Netflix film. In addition to her voice work, Manke performed as a touring duet partner with Austrian singer Udo Jürgens.
