José Antonio Gavira Cortés is a Spanish actor known primarily for his work in voice dubbing, as well as a journalist, television presenter, and radio broadcaster. He was born in Seville, Spain, on June 9, 1960. He holds a degree in Information Sciences with a specialization in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and also trained as an actor at the Escuela de Arte Dramático de Sevilla.

Before establishing his voice acting career, Gavira worked extensively in radio and television. He began his professional career in radio in 1980 and has held roles including director of Informative Services for COPE in Andalusia, presenter for Canal Sur Televisión, and subdirector and presenter for Antena 3 Noticias. He has also worked in theater, performing in productions such as El gran teatro del mundo and Entre todos lo mataron.

Gavira is most widely recognized for his work in the Spanish dub of the anime series Dragon Ball Z. He is the voice of the adult Son Goku, taking over the role in the series' later episodes and in most of the subsequent feature films. He voiced Goku in more than one hundred television episodes as well as in the films Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F. His other voice roles within the Dragon Ball franchise include the characters Raditz, Bardock, Recoome, and the fused character Gogeta.
