His career as a voice actor has been particularly prominent in anime and animated television series, where he has provided Italian voices for a wide array of characters.

Battarra's filmography includes many notable roles in anime series dubbed into Italian. He is recognized for voicing the character Shun Di, also known as Pops, in the series Virtua Fighter. Another one of his well-known performances is as the Grandfather of Kagome in the anime series InuYasha: The Final Act, a role he also voiced in the original InuYasha television series.
