Description
Jonas Ball is an American actor and voice actor known for his work in English-language dubs of anime series as well as live-action film and television. He was born Jonas Franklin Ball on May 3, 1975, in Carmichael, California.

Ball began his voice acting career in 1999 with a role in the anime series Angel's Feather (also known as Tenshi ni Narumon), where he voiced the character Gabriel. He continued in the industry with one of his most recognized anime roles in 2001, providing the English voice for Shiro Naruo in the series I My Me! Strawberry Eggs. In 2003, he was cast as Teifu Tokubo in the English dub of the action anime series Ikkitousen. Beyond anime, he has also contributed English voice work to the series Texhnolyze, voicing the character Maru.

Outside of voice acting, Ball has had a substantial career in live-action independent film. He is perhaps best known for his leading role as Mark David Chapman in the 2006 biographical drama The Killing of John Lennon. To prepare for this role, he notably gained weight by consuming a diet of hamburgers and French fries. He has also appeared in the horror films The Objective (2008) and The Blind (2009), as well as television series such as The Meanest Man in Texas and Radio Mary. In addition to acting, Ball has worked behind the camera as a director, editor, producer, and screenwriter on the 2016 series Walnuts the Movie: Campaign Series.

Regarding recurring professional collaborations, available records indicate that voice actor Stephanie Sheh is the colleague with whom Ball has worked most frequently, credited together on a total of three projects across their respective careers.
