Clay Adams
Description
Clay Adams, who is also professionally known as Christopher C. Adams, is an American actor and voice actor recognized for his extensive work in English-language dubs of anime series, particularly those produced by 4Kids Entertainment. He holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University and has worked as a writer and director for television in addition to his voice acting career. His directorial debut, the short film The Boy Scout, received a nomination for Best Short at the Golden Egg Film Festival in Los Angeles, and his feature screenplay The Eclipse placed second in the horror category of the FADEIn Awards.
Adams is best known for his multiple roles within the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. He first voiced the character Jesse Anderson in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, a role he played from 2006 to 2008. He also provided the voice for Reginald Van Howell III in the same series. He later became the initial voice actor for Crow Hogan in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, voicing the character for 63 episodes from 2009 to 2011 before being replaced by Tom Wayland in episode 94. Adams later reprised his role as Crow Hogan in the subsequent series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, which aired in 2016.
Beyond the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, Adam’s notable anime and animation voice roles include Cody Jones, Officer Eastman, and News Anchor Dwight in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fast Forward. He also voiced Donatello in the television film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles Forever and the character Aaron in the Pokémon anime series. Additional voice work includes providing voices for the animated series Chaotic. In live-action television, he has made guest appearances on shows such as Drop Dead Diva, One Tree Hill, and Being Mary Jane. In video games, he is known for playing the role of Richard in the game Quantum Break.
Adams is also a comic book creator and is the co-writer of the comic series Prodigal Son, which was co-created by Martin Kove, and his comic Electric Youth was featured in the Los Angeles Times. He founded Fried Comics, where he serves as the Co-Fry-Cook-in-Chief.
