Takahira made her professional voice acting debut in 2008 with her most iconic role, providing the voice for Patricia Patty Thompson in the television anime series Soul Eater. In 2014, she returned to this character to reprise the role of Patty Thompson for the spin-off prequel series, Soul Eater Not!
Beyond the Soul Eater franchise, her other voice acting credits from 2009 include roles in the anime series Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 and Darker than Black: Ryusei no Gemini. Her work in video games includes providing the voice for the character Emily Jefferson in the 2010 title The 3rd Birthday, a sequel to the Parasite Eve series.
Takahira has been a guest at international anime conventions. In May 2010, she was invited to appear alongside three other cast members from the Soul Eater anime at Anime Central in Rosemont, Illinois. At the time, her other listed credits included her roles in Darker than Black and Yakushiji Ryouko no Kaiki Jikenbo. Her career is characterized by a small but memorable body of work in the industry, with her performance in the Soul Eater franchise being her most significant and enduring contribution.
