Mihoko Nakamichi is a Japanese voice actress and narrator born on January 22, 1981, in Kyoto Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Crazy Box and is a graduate of the Japan Narration Acting Institute. Beyond her voice work, she holds certifications in secretarial skills and bookkeeping.
Nakamichi is best known for her role as Shinobu Wakamiya, the young and talented karuta queen, in the anime series Chihayafuru. Her work on the show began in 2012 and she continued to voice the character across the three anime seasons: Chihayafuru (2012), Chihayafuru 2 (2013), and Chihayafuru 3 (2019-2020). This remains her most prominent and defining role.
Her broader voice acting credits include a variety of supporting roles. In the science fiction series Blame! (2017), she provided the voice for a villager. She also had a role in the net series Tasokare Hotel (2025) as Ooto's Mother and appeared in the 2023 adaptation of Onimusha as the character Genma. Earlier in her career, she appeared as the voice of glasses in the long-running series Gintama (2011) and as a mother in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2009).
