Junichi Miyake
Description
Junichi Miyake is a Japanese voice actor born on January 13, 1980, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. One of his early notable roles was Sylvain Clark, described as a well-meaning but dramatic otaku drummer, in the 2006 anime series Marginal Prince. In 2013, he voiced the character Keno Inusaka, a traveling dancer and skilled swordsman also known as Asakeno, in the series Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East. Other anime roles from this period include Raguel in Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist (2013), Sakuya in We, Without Wings (2011), and Log in Saint Seiya Omega (2013). His work also extended to video games, where he notably voiced the character Guo Jia in the Dynasty Warriors series. In April 2014, Miyake announced he was taking a hiatus from some voice acting work to receive medical treatment for nasopharyngitis. As a result, his roles in several ongoing game series, including Dynasty Warriors and Kamisama to Unmei Kakumei no Cross Thesis, were recast. His agency confirmed as late as August 2017 that he was still undergoing medical treatment for this illness.
