Jennifer Goodhue

Description
Jennifer Goodhue is known for providing the English voice for the character Maki Aikawa in the anime television series Air Master, which aired in Japan from April to September 2003. The series, directed by Daisuke Nishio and produced by Toei Animation, follows a former gymnast who becomes a street fighter. The English dub for Air Master was produced in Toronto, and Goodhue’s role as the protagonist Maki Aikawa appears to be her only credited English-language anime voice role. Her performance is noted alongside a cast that included Stacey DePass, Julie Lemieux, and Linda Ballantyne.

Beyond her work in anime, Goodhue has established herself as a performer, writer, and producer, particularly in the field of sketch comedy. With over thirty years of acting and improvisation experience, she began her career in Ottawa, Canada, before moving to Toronto to perform with The Second City. She co-created five mainstage shows for The Second City, including the Canadian Comedy Award-winning production Psychedelicatessen. Goodhue later transitioned to television, co-starring on the CTV series Comedy Inc., and her acting credits include roles on shows such as Children Ruin Everything, Working Moms, The Beaverton, and 11.22.63. Considered an integral part of the Canadian sketch comedy scene, she worked for five seasons on Baroness Von Sketch Show and has also appeared in Tallboyz and the reboot of The Kids in the Hall on Amazon. Her career represents a notable intersection between anime voice acting and mainstream comedy performance in Canada.
