Kanji Furutachi is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on March 23, 1968, in Osaka Prefecture. After traveling to New York in his twenties to study acting at the HB Studio under Uta Hagen, he returned to Japan and joined the Seinendan theatre troupe run by Oriza Hirata as well as the Sample theatre troupe run by Shū Matsui. While his career has largely been centered on live-action film and television, he has taken on several notable voice acting roles in anime and animated features.
