Kenji Iwama

Kenji Iwama is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor born on October 29, 1980, in Nagano, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. He is currently a freelance performer and has previously been affiliated with Bring Up and the theatrical company Gekidan Alter Ego. His career includes a wide range of supporting and guest roles across numerous anime series.

Iwama is perhaps best known for his extensive work within the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. He voiced Security Guard A in the film Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie. In the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series from 2000, he played a young version of the character Mahad. His roles expanded significantly in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, where he voiced multiple characters including Ojama Black, Gem Beast Topaz Tiger, Raizou Mototani, and the crocodile Shirley (known in Japan as Karen), who is the companion of the character Jim Crocodile Cook.

Beyond the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe, Iwama has appeared in a variety of other anime titles. His credits include numerous roles in the 2006 series Humanoid Monster Bem, where he voiced various creatures and background characters such as Goblins, Gargoyles, and Policemen. He also played the characters Matsugawa and Yanase in Play Ball, and had multiple small roles in The Prince of Tennis, including a customer, an old man, and the character Daichi Kiriyama. His other television work includes roles in Koutetsu Sangokushi, Meine Liebe, Suzuka, and Vampiyan Kids.
