Gabriel Vanegas

Gabriel Vanegas is a Colombian voice actor known for his work in dubbing for Latin American Spanish audiences. His most recognized anime role is Ziko, also known as Zico, in the series Kiba. The Kiba anime, a fifty-one episode production by the studio Madhouse that aired from 2006 to 2007, received a Latin American Spanish dub created in Colombia in 2009 by the studio Provideo S.A., with Vanegas providing the voice for the character Ziko.
Beyond his performance in Kiba, Vanegas has a substantial career in voice work that extends well outside of anime. His professional background includes extensive experience in radio theater and radionovelas for Colombian public and commercial radio, where he worked with his brother, Miguel Ignacio Vanegas, on sound effects and voice acting. He was a student of the Seki Sano school, which taught the Stanislavski method, and he has worked as a director for the Todelar ensemble. His voice acting credits include roles in television series such as Tu voz estéreo, Nuevo rico nuevo pobre, and Casados con hijos, as well as dubbing work on films including The Hoax and the animated series Trollz. His acting credits also include the film El gran jefe from 1971.
