The Japanese voice actor Yasuo Saitou, widely known by his stage name Yakkun Sakurazuka, was born on September 24, 1976, in Kanagawa Prefecture. Before his career as a voice actor, he was a television personality and comedian. He gained significant popularity for his cross-dressing comedy character Sukeban Kyoko, a delinquent schoolgirl who carries a shinai practice sword. Before adopting the name Yakkun Sakurazuka, he was part of a comedy duo with Kousuke Takeuchi called Abare Nunchaku. He also made his singing debut in 2006 and released several singles.

In the field of anime voice acting, Saitou is best remembered for two major roles. He provided the voice for Takuto Kira in the series Looking for the Full Moon, also known as Full Moon o Sagashite. He also voiced Ryousuke Sakakura in the series Zettai Shonen. Beyond these prominent parts, his other notable anime roles included Raiden Hijikata in Inazuma Eleven, Ken Kamaguruma and Jeremy Watt in Eyeshield 21, Aqua in Jewelpet Twinkle and its predecessor Jewelpet, Pins also known as Vince in Metal Fight Beyblade: Baku, Mickey in Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin, Leon in Porfy no Nagai Tabi, Yusa Kamijou in Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, Satan Onizuka in Detective Conan, and a role in the film Detective Conan: Jolly Roger in the Deep Azure as a member of the Conan Ouendan cheer squad.

Yasuo Saitou passed away on October 5, 2013, at the age of 37 in a traffic accident in Mine, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
