Leonardo Araujo is a voice actor, dubbing director, and audio engineer based in Los Angeles, California, who has primarily worked on Spanish-language dubs of films and television series. He has since retired from the voice acting industry. One of his notable roles in anime is Julián in the series Lupin the Third Part I, the character originally known as Daisuke Jigen, the expert marksman and close associate of the titular thief Lupin III.
His career in voice acting began thanks to the influence of acting teacher Arturo Sáenz. Beyond performing, Araujo also worked as an audio recording engineer at Intersound in Los Angeles. In this capacity, he contributed to the English dub production of the anime series Robotech in 1985, where his name appeared in the episode credits as one of the audio engineers for the project.
Araujo’s filmography in animation includes several other significant roles. He voiced Chip Chase in the original Transformers G1 series and reprised the role of the Autobot Blaster in the animated film Transformers: The Movie. His other anime credits include various characters in the long-running series Detective Conan, such as Tequila and Heizo Hattori, as well as the character Dick in an episode of Sandy Bell. He also provided the voice for Tito in the Disney animated film Oliver & Company.
