Midori Kawana is the birth name of a Japanese voice actress and singer born on February 28, 1976, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. She began her voice acting career in the 1990s and has been known by several stage names, including Akiko Kawana, before adopting the stage name KAORI, which is a portmanteau derived from her real name. She has also been credited as Kaori Suzuki for certain roles.
One of Kawana’s early voice roles was as Gin'no Tsubasa in the 1999 television anime series D4 Princess. Following this, she voiced Marin Asagi in the series Brigadoon: Marin & Melan. She is a member of the rock band Spunky Strider, serving as a vocalist.
