Joan Anton Ramoneda was a Spanish radio announcer, audio director, and voice actor, known for his extensive work in both radio broadcasting and dubbing for film and television. He was born in 1957 or 1958 and passed away in January 2026 at the age of 68. Ramoneda began his professional career in radio in October 1983, and he became most famous for his role as the institutional voice of Catalunya Ràdio, a public broadcaster in Catalonia, Spain. For over four decades, he provided voiceovers for program jingles, station identifications, separators, and countless promotional spots and commercials, becoming one of the most recognizable voices on the station. Before his long tenure at Catalunya Ràdio, he was a broadcaster for Ràdio Associació de Catalunya.

Parallel to his radio career, Ramoneda worked as a dubbing actor in both Catalan and Spanish from 1983 until at least 2012. His voice was featured in a wide range of international films and television series. In cinema, he contributed to the dubbing of major Hollywood films, including "Jurassic Park," "Pulp Fiction," "American Graffiti," and "Poltergeist". He also dubbed roles in films by directors such as Ron Howard's "Apollo 13" and David Fincher's "Zodiac". On television, his voice work appeared in iconic series like "Dallas," "Bonanza," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and "Murder, She Wrote".

Within the field of anime and animated series, Ramoneda participated in several Catalan dubbings of Japanese productions. His roles included characters in "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "Candy Candy," "Dr. Slump," "Mazinger Z," and "Detective Conan". He is also noted for providing the voice for the character of Dr. Rudy Gillen in the acclaimed psychological thriller series "Monster". Further expanding his animated portfolio, he worked on productions such as "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "The Cobi Troupe".

In recognition of his significant contributions to the audiovisual industry, particularly in raising quality standards for voice-over and dubbing in Catalan, Joan Anton Ramoneda received an honorary mention from the Ràdio Associació de Catalunya in 2011. He retired from his professional duties in February 2024, ending a career that spanned over forty years.
