Kumi Yamakado is a Japanese voice actress known primarily for her work in the anime series Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch. In that production, she provided the voice for multiple characters, most notably Aqua Regina, the sea goddess who grants new songs and upgrades to the mermaid princesses. Her other roles in the same series include Madame Taki and a teacher who appears in episode 80. The character Aqua Regina is a recurring figure throughout the show, appearing in both the first and second seasons, which aired from 2003 to 2004. Beyond Mermaid Melody, Yamakado voiced the character of Announcer in the 2004 anime Tenbatsu Angel Rabbie and also performed as the voice of Dexter's Mom in the Japanese dub of the American animated series Dexter's Laboratory.
