Rob Blatt is an award winning writer and actor based in Los Angeles who has worked extensively in anime voice acting and script adaptation. He began his professional career as a healthcare lobbyist in Washington, D.C. before transitioning to entertainment. As a voice actor, Blatt is best known for providing the English language voice of Shuji Sumimura in the anime series Kekkaishi, the father of the protagonist Yoshimori Sumimura. Beyond acting, he also contributed to the same series as a scriptwriter, handling adaptation duties for the English version aired on Cartoon Network. His writing credits extend to other anime productions, including scripting the Madhouse studio series Wolverine, which aired on G4. In addition to his anime work, Blatt has performed voice over and live action roles for Comedy Central, MSN, and Comedy.com, and has worked as a reality show writer for NBC's The Sing-Off and MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. He is also known for his creative partnership with voice actor and director Sam Riegel, with whom he co-writes scripts and performs as the comedy rock music duo Riegel & Blatt.
