Joaquin Martal

Joaquín Martal is a Mexican voice actor and announcer, recognized in the world of anime dubbing primarily for his work on the Dragon Ball franchise in Latin America. His stage name, Martal, was reportedly created by fusing his surnames as a professional actor.
Martal is best known as the narrator for the anime series Dragon Ball GT. He took over the role from the ninth episode onward, providing narration for episodes ten through sixty-four. In addition to his narration duties on the series, he also provided the voice for the character Hammer in episode twenty-five, as well as additional voices. Beyond Dragon Ball GT, he has voiced the narrator in the anime film Dragon Ball: The Path to Power. He also voiced King Vegeta in the film Dragon Ball Z: The Power Invincible.
Outside the Dragon Ball franchise, his anime voice roles include the narrator in the series Cybercat Kurochan. He is also credited with additional voices for the Mexican VHS dub of the landmark anime film Akira. His work in animation includes the role of the narrator for the series What's New, Scooby-Doo? and some voice work for short segments of Swampfire in Ben 10: Alien Force. He is also known for his work as an institutional voice for various Mexican media outlets, including CNI Canal 40 and Formato 21 de Grupo Radio Centro.
