Damien Gillard is a Belgian comedian and voice actor born on May 22, 1972, in Charleroi, Belgium. He is primarily known for his work in French-language dubbing of anime and animated series.
Gillard began his career as a stage actor before moving into audiovisual work. His most prominent anime voice role is Cho Hakkai in the series Saiyuki, also known as Gensômaden Saiyuki, a fantasy adventure series based on the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West. He is also credited as the French voice for Shadi in the first two seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh!, as Masato Tsubaki in Reideen, and for multiple characters in Les Enquêtes de Kindaichi.
