Peter Musäus is a German actor and voice actor born on October 12, 1939, in Königsberg, Germany, which is now Kaliningrad, Russia. He is the son of actors Hans Musäus and Mary Singer. Musäus began his performance career early, appearing on stage at the Tyrolean State Theatre in Innsbruck as a child and voicing fairy tale characters on Austrian children's radio. After completing his education at a secondary school, he attended the Mozarteum drama school in Salzburg. His theatrical work in Germany included performances at venues such as the Theater Lübeck, the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel, the Modern Theatre in Munich, the Bavarian State Theatre in Munich, and the Munich Volkstheater.

In the field of anime, Musäus is recognized for his contributions to German-dubbed versions of Japanese animated series. He is credited with providing the German voice for the character Dr. Sandy in the 1992 anime television series Kaze no Naka no Shoujo Kinpatsu no Jeanie, also known as The Girl in the Wind: Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair. He also voiced the character Peter Ferguson in the German dub of the Hellsing anime series and the Zeppelin Captain in the Hellsing Ultimate OVA series. His anime voice roles further include Arlong in the German dub of One Piece.

Beyond his anime-specific work, Musäus has an extensive career in German dubbing for numerous international films and television series. He has provided German voices for a wide range of characters in American animated series, including multiple roles in the long-running German dub of The Simpsons, such as Carl Carlson, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon in the first season, Cletus Spuckler, Professor John Frink, and Kirk van Houten.
