Maren Reiner is a German voice actress born in Munich on February 16, 1983, who has built an extensive career in dubbing for animation, anime, and live-action productions. She began her voice work at the age of five, securing small speaking roles through her father, actor and voice actor Leon Rainer. Her first leading role in an anime series came as the young Annette in The Alps Story: My Annette, which aired from 1995 to 1996. In the mid-2000s, she took on several major female roles in Japanese anime series, including Reika Mishima in RahXephon from 2004 to 2005. Her other notable anime voice roles from this period include providing the second voice of Kagura in Inu Yasha, Esther Blanchett in Trinity Blood, and contributing to Studio Ghibli films such as Kiki's Delivery Service and Whisper of the Heart. More recently, she has become known as the German voice of Michiru Kaioh, also known as Sailor Neptune, in the series Sailor Moon Crystal starting from its third season, and she reprised this role in the films Sailor Moon Eternal in 2021 and Sailor Moon Cosmos in 2024.
