Thomas Ohrner

Description
Thomas Ohrner, born June 3, 1965, in Munich, Germany, is a German actor, television moderator, and voice actor known for his work as a child star in the 1970s. His career as a dubbing and voice actor is most notably defined by his work on the German-language version of the classic Japanese anime series Heidi, Girl of the Alps.

Ohrner's most significant anime voice role is the character Peter the goatherd, a key figure in the 1974 Japanese animated adaptation of Johanna Spyri's novel. In this German dubbing of the series, he provided the voice for Peter, the childhood friend of the protagonist Heidi. This performance remains his most prominent and enduring contribution to the field of anime voice acting.

Beyond his work on Heidi, Ohrner was also active as a voice actor for other children's television programs during the same period. One such credit includes providing a voice for the German broadcast of the American comedy series The Bad News Bears. Ohrner began his career in entertainment as a young child, appearing in commercials and television series, and continued to work as a voice actor alongside his on-screen roles throughout the 1970s. While his work on Heidi is a landmark achievement in German anime dubbing history, his other voice roles are less extensively documented.
