Suzanne Savoy

Description
Suzanne Savoy is an American actress and voice artist known for her work in both live-action film and television as well as English-language anime dubs. She was born on February 19, 1955, in Wilmington, Delaware, and was raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. For much of her anime voice-over career, she performed under the professional name Suzy Prue, though she has also been credited as Suzy Savoy.

Savoy was active in the anime dubbing industry primarily during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Her voice work is closely associated with original video animations produced in that era and distributed in North America by companies such as Central Park Media. Her roles were almost exclusively in OVA releases, contributing to the English-language localization of numerous titles for the North American home video market.

One of her well-known roles is Nena Hargen in the Agent Aika OVA series from 1997. She voiced this antagonist character in episodes three and four of the English dub under the name Suzy Prue. Other prominent anime voice roles include Captain Sara in Alien from the Darkness from 1996, Rapier Saris in both the OVA and television series versions of Maze, and Alexiel in Angel Sanctuary. She also voiced Hamako Shihonmatsu in the comedic industry satire Animation Runner Kuromi, the Principal in Alien Nine, and Kuyoh in RG Veda. Additional credits include Lena in Shamanic Princess, Keyne Aqua and Aho Furnace in Photon: The Idiot Adventures, Vanessa in Spy of Darkness, Sonya in Midnight Panther, Rika in Sins of the Sisters, Maria's Mother in Descendants of Darkness, Ayumi Narusawa and Beauty Bakeneko in Geobreeders: Breakthrough, Miki Amagi in Hyper Speed GranDoll, and Rumiko in Garzey's Wing.

Her filmography demonstrates recurring collaborations with several voice actors who were active in the New York-based dubbing circuit during that period, including Debora Rabbai, Tara Sands, and Scott Cargle. Beyond anime, Savoy has had a prolific career in live-action television, known for playing Victoria Robertson on the Cinemax series The Knick and DNC Chairwoman Patricia Whittaker on House of Cards. She has also appeared as Perry Trivedi on Better Call Saul and had guest roles on series such as Law & Order, Sex and the City, 30 Rock, NCIS, Boardwalk Empire, The Blacklist, and How to Get Away with Murder. Her film appearances include The Upside, Freeheld, and Dark Angel. She also created and toured with her one-woman show Je Christine, about the late-Medieval author Christine de Pizan.
