Sonja S. Fox is the professional pseudonym of Melodee Spevack, an American voice actress known for her extensive work on English-language dubs of Japanese anime series and films. Born on October 13, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Miami. In addition to voice work, she has a background in stunt performance, including stage combat, fencing, archery, and horseback riding.
Fox began voicing characters in anime in the late 1980s, but her career expanded significantly throughout the 1990s and 2000s. She contributed to numerous prominent series, often performing a wide range of supporting and guest roles. Among her most recognized parts is Lady Debonair in the second season of the fantasy series Magic Knight Rayearth. She also voiced the character Miren in the miniseries Samurai: Hunt for the Sword.
