Doc Harris, born Gilbert Arthur Auchinleck on August 3, 1948, in Vancouver, Canada, was a Canadian voice actor and radio personality. He began his career in broadcasting in 1966, working at various radio stations in Victoria, Sudbury, Hamilton, and Toronto under names such as Gil Harris and Doc Holliday. In 1973, he settled at a Vancouver station as a disc jockey permanently using the moniker Doc Harris. His career as a radio personality lasted for nearly five decades until 2007.
Within the world of anime and animation, Doc Harris is best known for his work on the Ocean Productions English dub of the iconic series Dragon Ball Z, where he served as the narrator for more than two hundred episodes. This role is considered his most significant achievement in voice acting, making his voice a familiar presence for fans of the franchise during its initial English-language release. Beyond Dragon Ball Z, his other notable voice roles include narrating the series Captain N: The Game Master and voicing the character Golem in the English dub of the anime Monster Rancher from 1999 to 2001.
