Melodee Lenz

Description
Melodee Lenz is an American actress known primarily for her work in English-language dubbing of anime and video games. Born on June 16, 1978 in Dallas, Texas, she became active in the voice acting industry during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a period when the demand for English dubs of popular Japanese anime series was rapidly expanding in North America.

Lenz is most widely recognized for her voice role as Marron in the long-running anime series Dragon Ball Z. Marron is the daughter of the characters Krillin and Android 18, and Lenz provided the character's voice in the English dub produced by Funimation. Her performance as Marron appears in episodes of the series, most notably during the Buu Saga, including the episode Buu's Reincarnation. In addition to voicing Marron, she also voiced several minor characters in Dragon Ball Z, credited as Thirsty Little Girl in episode 209 and as a fan of Android 18 in episode 224.

Beyond Dragon Ball Z, Lenz contributed voices to another major anime franchise, Detective Conan, which is also known as Case Closed. In the English dub of Detective Conan, she voiced several characters, including Yvonne Marks, Zelda Dufor, a female kidnapper, and a hotel owner's wife. She is also credited as the English dub voice for the character Yayoi Himeno in the series. Her work in detective Conan involved voicing both guest characters and minor roles across multiple episodes.

Lenz also performed voice work for the English dub of the anime series Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files. In the video game industry, she provided voice work for BloodRayne 2, which was released in 2004, where she voiced Dhampir and Minions, the latter credited under the name Melody Lenz. Her filmography includes additional roles as an actress and writer, with credits noting stunt work as well.

A notable recurring collaboration in her career was with voice actor Sean Schemmel, who is famously known as the voice of Goku in the English dub of the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Lenz and Schemmel were married from April 23, 1998 until their divorce on May 3, 2001. This professional and personal association places her among the cast of voice actors working on the Funimation Dragon Ball Z dub during that era. Her body of work, while not extensive, is significant for fans of classic English-dubbed anime from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
