Kaori Yuasa

Description
Kaori Yuasa is a Japanese voice actress known for her work in the 1990s and early 2000s. She was born on September 20, 1972, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, and has blood type O. Now a freelance voice actress, she was previously active under the same name throughout her career.

Yuasa is perhaps most recognized for her voice roles in the long-running Rurouni Kenshin franchise. In the 1996 television series Rurouni Kenshin, she provided the voice for Ayame, one of the young daughters of the character Yahiko Myojin. She reprised this role for the 1997 theatrical film Rurouni Kenshin: The Motion Picture. Additionally, in the highly regarded OVA series Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, she voiced the character Sakura.

Beyond the world of Rurouni Kenshin, her other significant television anime roles include Chōko Nakagawara in the series Aqua Age and the role of Buuko in the same production. She also played Shou Moriya in the magical girl series Nurse Angel Ririka SOS. Her other television credits include a role in the popular comedy Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo (also known as Ryo-san), as well as appearances in El-Hazard: The Wanderers and Kodocha.

Yuasa also contributed to several original video animations and films. She voiced a young Go in the OVA Super Atragon and had a part in the film Pop group koroshiya. Her work in the 1990s extended to anime such as Kero Kero Chaimu and Nekketsu Saikyō Go-Saurer.

Her career appears to have been primarily focused in the 1990s, and she is considered to have been active during what some regard as a golden era for Japanese voice acting. Though much of her later work is not widely documented, her performances in the Rurouni Kenshin franchise, particularly in the critically acclaimed Trust & Betrayal OVA, remain a notable part of her legacy in the industry.
