Paulo Wolf, full name Paulo César Wolf, was a Brazilian actor and voice dubber active from 1990 until his death in 2000. He was born in São Paulo, Brazil on December 17, 1961 and passed away in the same city on September 26, 2000. Wolf is known for his work providing Portuguese voices for various animated series and films. Among his most notable anime roles, he voiced the character Makoto Shishio in the series Samurai X, which is the Brazilian title for Rurouni Kenshin. His other credits in animation include the roles of Kyohei Tachibana in Burst Angel, Dex in MegaMan NT Warrior, Big Macintosh in My Little Pony, and K. Rool in Donkey Kong Country. Beyond anime and animation, Wolf also performed voice work for live action films and television series, dubbing actors such as Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger in Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Mike Myers as Dr. Evil in the first Austin Powers film, and Jason Beghe in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In addition to his voice work, he had a stage career, performing in the theatrical play Laços Eternos alongside fellow actor and voice dubber Paulo Celestino.
