Dallas Liu is an American actor who made his anime voice acting debut in 2025. He was born on August 21, 2001, in Los Angeles, California. Liu began practicing martial arts at the age of five, training in Japanese Shotokan and competing in the North American Sport Karate Association. His acting career started early, with his first film role as a young Jin Kazama in Tekken in 2009, and his manager initially discovered him through karate videos uploaded to YouTube.
Liu's on-camera work includes a recurring role as Shuji Ishii-Peters in the television series PEN15 from 2019 to 2021, a part as Carter on Nickelodeons Legendary Dudas, and a role in the Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as Ruihua Chen. In 2024, he began playing Prince Zuko in the Netflix live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Liu entered the field of voice acting for anime with the series Sakamoto Days. In January 2025, he made his voice acting debut, taking on the role of Shin Asakura in the English dub of the anime. The series is based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki and premiered on Netflix on January 11, 2025. Shin Asakura is a telepath who initially was sent to assassinate the main character, Taro Sakamoto, but instead becomes an employee at his convenience store. Regarding the project, Liu stated, Voice acting is something Ive never been able to do before, and this getting to be my first project is super surreal for me. He has also expressed a personal interest in anime, mentioning a fondness for the series Death Note.
