Takafumi Oomae is a Japanese manga writer and artist. He is known for his work as the illustrator of the manga adaptation of the light novel series Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, a series that was adapted into the anime My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha. Oomae is the illustrator for the manga version of Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, which is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Shisui Meikyou. The story follows a young adventurer named Light who is betrayed by his party and left for dead, only to use his unique gift, Unlimited Gacha, to summon powerful new allies and seek revenge. The manga began serialization on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website and app on May 25, 2021. The compiled chapter volumes are published in print by Kodansha under their KC Deluxe imprint. The English language version of the manga is published by Seven Seas Entertainment. The series is ongoing, and the manga has been collected into numerous volumes as of the anime's production.

The popularity of the original light novel and its manga adaptation led to the production of an anime television series. This anime, titled My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I'm Out for Revenge!, was produced by the studio J.C.Staff and aired in 2025. As the credited manga artist for the source material's adaptation, Takafumi Oomae's work served as a primary visual reference for the anime's character designs and world.
